Hey Bobi!,
What a great place, with wonderful people & animals to boot. Thanks for providing me with a spot so I could pursue my path. Playing guitar with John was so pono! Keep on at'em girl, may you be booked solid. Wendy, BC Canada
To Bobi,
We loved our stay and enjoyed walking around your
farm. We have seen three Geckos and captured one tiny baby. Today we
walked down Waipio Valley, (25%, two miles.) I felt like I had just
finished the Ironman at the very end! When we got to the beach there
were four adult horses, one yearling and a foal! We got to pet all of
them and the foal kept nuzzling me. I fed it a baby carrot. He or she
was following me after that! Thank you. Mahalo, We thank you for the
beautiful landscape and cute dogs and cats. Aloha! Mahalo, Sabine
Bobi, I was looking for a place to introduce my
daughter to Hawaii that would not be like the typical tourist
experience. Visiting you was perfect. It was so nice; fall asleep to
wind, wake up to birds. Real things like quiet and real people not
pandering to tourists, nice for a pair of tourists to see what it would
be like to live here. Instead of surrounded by people like us, we are
surrounded by people like you. Sabine snorkeled in Kapa'a, Hiked Waipio,
now off to Volcano. She is seeing the kind of Hawaii I wanted her to
see. Thank you, David
Bobi,
Thank you for letting us set up our tent at your beautiful home. We hope to return soon. Being at yor place was one of the nicest things we've done in Hawaii. We hope that this place full of positive energy stay forever as it is. Gracious y Esperamos volver a este lugar que es mas onparaiso que ona casa.
Alicia y Camilio
Bobi,
Thank you for your hospitality during our stay as we end our seven day bicycle tour of the island. For others doing this circuit, we highly recommend allowing "lay over" days to enjoy the local towns & this wonderful Guesthouse of yours. Your family was gracious to help us get to two fabulous dinners in Hawi: The Bamboo and Sushi Rock.
For other visitors, don't miss John Keawe playing guitar or the fabulous vistas at Pololu Valley. It was worth the extra bike ride down there! Leslie & Todd Everett Berkeley CA
"Peace and quiet.. nothing but the sounds of the birds, the wind, and the rain.. the lush green country views.. exactly the getaway we needed." RM Kailua Kona, Hi.
"We're back! What a great trip we just took with mules above Pololu ! The valley is peaceful and powerful at the same time. What a terrific guide! His love of the valley and love of his work comes through! We feel like we've received from the heart of Hawaii to our hearts." Jim and Lisa (honeymooners for life)
Kohala Country Adventures is truly a paradise. I adore your lovely gardens. Being here has brought me peace and tranquility and I will return! A.P,Ca

Why should we travel 2500 miles across the sea
for a vacation when hidden treasures like Kohala Country Adventures are
right in our "backyard". Fa'afetai hava! Alicia and Roy Oahu, Hi.
A wonderful way to start the New Year. Thank you for sharing your home and gardens. We enjoyed the Swiss-family Riobinson feel of the unique rooms, gathering places and grounds. Our three families had privaate space.
Thank you ,too, for your suggestions of things to see and do in the area.We loved the shops, galleries, and restaurants. We certainly did our best to support the local economy! The Kreisman Family, Oregon and Minnesota

To all in Kona ---
Thank you for a fantastic stay, although my time was short, I cannot
say enough about which the first class manner and warm hospitality
in which myself and everyone on our crew was greeted by Bobi
when we arrived in full force at the end of a hectic day.
You saw that our crew and our very tired Ultraman Athlete, Todd
Crandell of Racing for Recovery were settled and had
everything we needed. You even personally arranged for a local
massage therapist to come over after hours to help Todd relax and
find a little more in those tired muscles for the final 52.4 mile
run for Ultraman to complete in the morning.
Bobi, I actually have over 20 years in hospitality
management, however I rarely take the time to say much about
anything when I travel, just don't. But I really wanted to let you
know, and share with anyone who visits your site, how impressed I
truly was. I can't say enough about the hospitality, our
accommodations or the tranquil courtyard that I sat in and watched
countless shooting stars in the black sky, while I myself reset for
the last leg of the race. All around, just what I needed.
I even left my IPOD behind in a the chaos of the morning and was so
happy to find you had it safely put away and it is now on its way
home.
i cannot wait until the next time I am able to come to Hawaii, I
look forward to being a guest for a lot longer and enjoying all you
have to offer.
Thank you again, Shannon Crane
Hi Toni,
Glenn and I just returned from a 3 night stay at the Kohala
Country guesthouse....Jane won the silent auction bid at last
year's auction and gave it to us for Christmas and finally we
managed to get over there. Glenn had to work at the state cross
country meet last Friday so I tagged along and after all the
students went home we stayed a couple of extra days. You friend
Bobi is so welcoming and friendly as as her children and
grandchildren....what a great spot! She provided us with really
good restaurant suggestions - we listened to John Keawe at the
Bamboo one night and the other evening we listened to a a blues
cello played at Luke's. It was all a relaxing treat, an
experience we never would have had without Bobi's generous
donation to KEY.
Hey Bobi,
If you want a beautiful setting, gentle breezes and generous smiles, this is where you come. If you look close, even the lizards are smiling.
Thanks, Bob and Joni

"This place is like an oasis in the
midst of all the stretching land on the Big Island...and so are you,
personally, Bobi. May God multiply the rest He's provided through you to
so many people, and bless you with a true rest in Him, no matter how
busy you are, and a peace that will both emanate from you as well as
direct your heart." L.T. Connecticut
Bobi, Dave, et al, We're glad you made space in your home for two adventuresome tandem cyclists: We felt more like extended family than strangers passing through. God has blessed you and us. Gary and Sally
Mahalo, Bobi. Just what we were looking for..a delightful place in the country to relax and just be us.
Thanks for guiding us on the hiking trips to the Falls and the Lighthouse, and directing us to the Full Moon Concert on the beach at Mauna Lani..an experience of a lifetime! We'll be back and will bring friends! Isabela and Jerry, Kailua, Oahu

How can I ever thank you enough to let you know how much I appreciated your kindness, friendliness and the effort you put forth to make my two weeks with you so pleasant for me. I wasn't alone, I was with friends (new ones). If I lived closer, I'd have a large family! Your home, and my home while I was with you, is beautiful.
Rosemary, Indiana 87 year old adventurer
